There are a ton of great food trucks across the Ozarks. Our new series will explore one of these each Tuesday.
Parked in an alley across from the Press Room in Bentonville is Yeyo’s Mexican Grill and serves nachos, burritos, quesadillas, and Mexican street tacos. In fact these are some of the best street tacos I have had outside of Austin.
I went with the sample set of five of their favorites. That set included al pastor, carne asada, chicken, chorizo, and cochinita pibil. All were full of flavor and fresh ingredients.
My favorite here was the cochinita pibil. The slow roasted pulled pork had just the right amount of flavor and spice, everything you want in a street taco. The chicken and chorizo were also both notable. The carne asada tacos could use a bit more flavor and spice but overall each were very good.
Even with Bentonville’s booming food scene, Yeyo’s is a must stop that came highly recommended from a number of quality chefs in the area. I am looking forward to a number of future visits.
