Three years ago we began stumbling down this road to do our very best to promote the local food, arts, and culture of the Little Rock area. In that time there was always a gravitational draw to the explosion of the same areas we covered going on in the Northwest corner of the state.
It quickly became a dream to not only promote the Little Rock Metro through our Rock City publications, but also Northwest and other regions of the state. That is why after over a year of planning and developing I am finally glad to unveil our newest publication, Northwesterner.
Northwesterner is about the people and culture of Northwest Arkansas. We have a great team of initial writers who have lived and breathed the NWA culture most of their lives starting with Sarah White, Laurie Marshall, and Peter Horton. Which is why Northwesterner had to be separate, not just a few writers from Little Rock coming up to tell you what is important.
We plan to grow slow, starting we will focus on food and build relationships. People gotta eat. It is also one of the most fascinating and rapidly evolving areas in Northwest. Later in the year we will add arts and music coverage. Then we will listen and see where the community takes us next.
